What is the possibility of getting divers to fit an isolating valve at the other end of the pipe? It would then be possible to repair the leak or pipe section.

hi,

sir i got your point but little away that 'what is the material regarding pipe?

if metal i am far away!

but if it is a plastic then i put some remedy:

1. for upvc use pvc solution alongwith methenechloride or with acetone in excess quantity, but don't excede more than 28% of 200ml solution respectively.

2. check the working pressure and flow rate again, and is the pipe designed for given

Hand leaver - DIN - 25 to DN - 150 or Gear Operated DN - 200 to DN - 1200

and

pipe mechanical strength.

Important-3. remove that effected part or whole if possible then mark leakage area heat it at (60 deg C for upvc, 95deg C for c-pvc) for 2 minutes take another ring 8 inches wide of SDR series ASTM D-2241 now match the outer dia of your pipe(219.08mm) and the internal dia of that ring and concide it after applying solution before 5-min.

• Please send the proper information for good study.

Saddles clamped over the leak may stop the leak but it may also crush the thin / weak wand of the pipe. Local inspection is needed.

Do you have any dam safety legislation to comply with?

What is the possibility of running a syphon over the top to enable complete shutoff?
