12,000 BTU = 1 tonne so 1.5 = 18,000 BTU's or 5.275279 KW's

I have seen the split AC using in my home rated for 1.1 ton 1250 watt. Also observed the the 1.5 ton rating is around 1900 W. Pl search the google for more information.

That's way too easy

First you convert it to Btu and then kW

1.5 x 12000 = 18000 Btu

then 1000Btu = 0.2931 kW

therefore 1.5 ton = 5.2758 kW
