eddy currents

hi my question is about a 6 wire star delta starter with 3 gland holes can anyone addvise me on arranging the phase sequance . Do i put qty 2 no L1 phase in one gland hole and Qty 2 no L2 phase in the next gland hole and so on . i have qty 6 copex aul glands and 63 mm copex my cable will be 120 sq .

As in other discussions, more info required, like what type of enclosure, what IP rating do you need.

Personally, if I had 120mm cables, and I assume you have SDI (Single Double Isulated) cables, I would have one gland for each cable. If there is limited room in the enclosure then each gland would align to the stud for the contactor or overload. I would make a glandplate using aluminium or other non ferrous material.

GA Tooz,

The other option is to cut between the holes with a jigsaw to break the magnetic circuit if ferrous material must be used.
