How to face Terrorists?

I hope all of us are aware of terrorist attack on innocent people on 11/26 at Mumbai, India. Ten terrorists took whole city to ransom.They were armed with AK47 guns,Mortars etc.They killed around 170 persons and injured around 300 persons.

Some children were orphaned and some women were widowed.In India owning a gun even for self defence is very difficult. Many top business executives lost their lives in 5 star hotels. Now they are thinking of owning licensed guns or some other self defence equipment. How to face such challenging situation?. Any simple gadget for self protection from such attacks?.
