I'm able to post some news and pix from the road (Who would have thought Cleveland had WiFi? Who would have thought Cleveland had electricity?)

I got into the National Aviary to see my new neuron. It looks good, although a clumsy docent spilled some agar on it, and it looks a little suspect.

But the trip there was wonderful! I got to see the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Funny, they always look bigger on TV. Of course I don't know much about hockey. It looks like a fun game, but the arena is so darn cold! With what they charge for tickets, you'd think they could keep the heat up to 65 or so.

And, they have one of those rare ivory-billed woodpeckers that was on PBS not long ago. It must be pretty tame since it was outdoors in the flight arena. I got a picture of him just as he went through a flock of pigeons. He's the third from the left.

So, I'm off to my travels again. Next stop - the sanitarium. They're very fond of me there; they even sent a uniformed driver to escort me. I was able to get a picture of him when he confused a schoolteacher from Buffalo for me.

This turned out to be a shorter trip than I expected.

I usually spend at least a week at the sanitarium, but not this time. They did an odd association test where they said a word and let me change my avatar in response. They got very excited at what I did when the word was "mother". Anyway, they did a new procedure where they put me under a strong stimulant and, when I woke up, I felt much better and didn't need meds any more. It's great. I no longer hate the Cleveland Browns and I'm able to forgive Walter O'Malley for moving the Dodgers. The only side effects are two black eyes. Oh, and I now love Windows Vista and no longer believe in evolution or the laws of thermodynamics.

So, I went off to Chicago to see President-elect Obama. I only got to see a staffer, but I think it went well. When I asked him about the ambassadorship to the Duchy of Grand Fenwick, he answered something about "when hell freezes over". As you may know, the wind chill in Chicago was -30 yesterday, so I think I've on the short list.

On a sad note, however, my trip to the old homestead at Dartmoor is off. I couldn't get a visa. Apparently I offended the British when I suggested that, in these hard times, they could save a ton of money by giving a severance package to the Royals and outsourcing the job to Helen Mirren.

So, on that sour note, I'm back at my keyboard. The sheriff promised to release the memory card from my camera soon and I'll post when he does.

Well, it's good to have you back. After hearing your story, I think it's time for you to get away all together. Now, I'm sure they are watching you, so your going to have to slip away in the dead of night. Be very careful! Later, I will PM you exact coordinates, so you can meet up with my clan. The Mother Ship is waiting for us on the far side of the moon. MIB watches me 24/7, so I'm going to have to go transparent for a while. I'll send you the mathematical formula, and the herbs and mushrooms you will need to collect, so you can too.
