Is it Possible to Hear Pain in Other Creatures?

Can anyone say whether animals or indeed humans can hear pain in other creatures?

Humans absorb only a small percentage of information audibly. The greatest part of the information one uses comes in visually. The sum of all inputs + intelligence + prior experience = perception. One can usually "tell" whether an animal is in pain without necessarily "hearing" it.

Interesting question.
