Recovering data from a damaged hard disk

01/07/2009 12:16 PM

Hi group, My laptop hard disk was damaged, a company technician told me that I still can recover some information from the disk using a USB SATA connection. I have purchased a new hard drive and now my laptop is running fine again, so I think that I can try connecting the USB-SATA to my laptop, and with the suitable software I can try. could anybody help me about some software to use? Esteban

You might try Recuva. I haven't tried it, but Kim Komando recommends it. (Don't spend too much time looking at Kim's picture.)

I know what you're going through. I accidentally deleted, or failed to save, some database records, and had to try to recover them. I used a different program, but unfortunately, it didn't do much good.
