Wiring in residential flats

01/09/2009 2:18 PM

Dear all,

I don't know if I made it wrong, must electric wiring inside residential flats by done either using "ring" or "star" under BSI?

Are there any variation?

It's long while I haven't touch on this subject, appreciate if you can help.

Thanks!

How can you be so dumb as to not state categorically your location on this planet!!!Using BSI is only an indication as many countries follow some or all of the British Standards.

Do not forget, this is an American Blog........

Remember also that as a guest, you are also not much appreciated on a blog where most people are logged on with a Nickname and a location.

Maybe this will sort you out!!!

Happy new year to you provided you register with us first! Then you can ask your question again.

Andy,

He/she is asking the practice under British standards, isn't it?

How come you don't use your great WD40 this time?

Don't forget though, CR4 is global!

Cheers,

AC Wing.

When you refer to Ring circuit it means a single phase socket circuit which has the supply neutral and ground wires start and end at the same braker after looping in to socket outlets.

Star is a mode of connection usually used in transformers having three phase output and a star point.

Unless u need to elaborate more and be specific in your questions.

Good morning my dear friend.

I have given you an answer which I just posted regarding a similar matter. Here it is again.

Get electrocuted a few times and you will wish you had the advantage of an apprenticeship. I didn't have one and learned the hard way. Take a course! At least! It's a mirical that I am writing this to you in the first place,( It can bloody kill you) so take a good tip when it is one. Good luck, Ky.

If in doubt, pay!!
