Customer values and satisfaction are very important.

Unfortunately, what the customer needs, what he wants and what he thinks he needs are 3 entirely different things.

As an example, customes often think they want control systems to communicate remotely or to interface with a laptop.
What they really want is a system which is reliable and easy to install so that it doesn't need to communicte remotely or with a laptop.
Adding the remote connection facilities just adds cost and unreliablility.

O.P.: Without customers, there is no reason for the enterprise to exist.

So the further ones deliverables are from the customer's values, needs, wants, and satisfaction, the less sustainable the enterprise.

so customer values and satisfaction are keys to survival for the business.
