Because the low pressure side of DP Tx has wet leg, when it is used for steam drum level.

because the steam condensate will always fill the LP leg and when LP side goes hi dp transmitter goes negative, in order to remove this erratic reading .We always first fill with condensate on LP side and adjust zero supression and bring the signal to zero this is the LRV of the smart Xmtr and by giving pressure to HP side to the given height or span is the URV of the smart Xmtr .

hope you get the proper answer

Absolutely fine. If that can take place WITHOUT SHOUTING then readers here trying to get some sleep will not be disturbed.
