I'm assuming heat sealing.

too much, or too little heat, time, or pressure.

or contamination of the seal area with product.

You need to run some very basic experiments. Simply put some of the packaging material in the jaws at your normal settings of time, temperature and pressure. Then do it again with the jaw temperature about 10°C higher and make a package. Then again with the setting 10°C lower than the normal setting. Cut the pouches open and compare the seal strengths of each simply by manually pulling open strips that are about one inch wide. If they are equal, then try varying the pressure the same way and also the time in different experiments.

You also need to check for jaw alignment or warpage. Take a sheet of old fashioned carbon paper and place it between two sheets of paper. Insert in the jaws and activate the pressure to make a seal. Look at the impression. Maybe that will give you an "ah ha" that there is some warp in the jaws.

Good luck

Hi Bart.. thanks for your reco. However, we do not measure the temperature of the seal bar, rather only the sealing time and the voltage (50V) for the 15mm seal ribbon. We do testing usng our pull tester machine (std 5psi up) for a 15mm sample width. I will try to experiment on the paper and carbon paper you have discussed above... thanks...

hi,we have our own factory to process indium products such as indium foil, indium wire, indium ball, indium powder, indium target, etc.. The quality is high standard, and the price is very favorable.

Indium wire is widely used to create high vacuum seals in cryogenic apparatus, 1.0mm diameter ideal for making seals where radial space is limited. We make a wide range of Indium wire diameters. One of the most requested sizes is 1.0mm, but our available range from 0.5mm to 3.0mm and larger. Meanwhile, Indium foil is ideal for creating cryogenic vacuum seals. High quality Indium foil is available in many sizes, or they can be custom made to customers' requirements. Indium foil is supplied in sheet form. For information about our products, you can visit our website at www.hanbillion.com If there is any question, please feel free to contact us.
