what is a cable sheath

does it apply for both URD cable and armored cable

Cable sheath = what a cable is inside of to protect it.

or "A single layer or multiple layers of a protective covering over a cable."

does it apply for both URD cable and armored cable

URD = underground residential distribution... I would think these would be sheathed, yes.

armored cable = cable with a protective covering... definitely yes.

You have to know

cu/pvc/xlpe

means

cu conductor/pvc insulated/xlpe shesthed.
