Would anyone that has seen this film (The Race to Zero Point & Free Energy) be interested in sharing their thoughts?

I haven't seen it. And I won't be seeing it. I think it's bunk. And I'll think it's bunk until I can buy it at Home Depot.

You are aware that it's science fiction masquerading as a documentary, right?

Science fiction, yeah?

Said the heliocentric to the geocentric.

"Science fiction, yeah?

Said the heliocentric to the geocentric."

Right. And I'm the guy who knows that the Earth orbits the Sun. Which side do YOU belong to?

So sorry for having to clear this up...I was saying "Science fiction, yeah?"...to YOU

That makes me the heliocentric...obviously. You are aware that analogies exist, right?

It was silly of me to take those "two steps ahead" and leave myself open to such an easy comeback from someone still clearly far behind.

I have never heard about this, is it about the search for the Perpetuum mobile?

I recall reading a few biographs on Tesla some decades back..At that time our local library (remember pre -internet times) had to order the books via interlibrary loans..On receiving the ordered books i realized that i had read one of them years ago when i was in late public school days...One of the few books i've intentionally reread in my life..Even as a pre-teenager/early teenager i recall being enamoured of the means to transmit electricity through the air...Only after almost a handful of decades longer do i realize the full implications of Teslas thoughts..Copper would fall/employment in line maintenance would be decimated...although tower maintenance would increase..Metering while difficult would still be doable via RF receivers supplied by the power distributors now but not 85 years ago..So..another reason to be hopeful for a bright future for all....Marty W

Right. And every single contestant either lost or was disqualified on grounds of being delusional.

I couldn't watch the whole thing. There are so many misstatements of fact in the first few minutes that it seemed pointless to watch more. I note that the promo materials for the video mention Dennis Lee (the convicted fraud) as being among the "scientists" you will learn about in the film.

Many of the promoters and groupies of the free energy/zero point/over unity/perpetual motion/HHO scams seem to believe that doing jail time is a badge of courage, and that there is a great conspiracy keeping these "secrets" from us. I take the view that if you do jail time, you are probably a crook.

My best advice to you is drop the subject before these guys get really ugly on your ass! This is a very sore topic for them!

Primarily because most of the people here are engineers that have been taught the infallibility of the second law of thermodynamics. When this law is questioned, it can gets a little ugly. I've seen these guys make grown men cry!

Sorry brother, can't drop it any time soon. I suggest that people, for the fear of looking stupid, watch the whole film and make up their own mind after.

Some of you may fine that unsane (not insane) people may tend to think:

  1. If I am sent to a correctional facility/pyschiatric ward, I must be ostracised from society because I am no longer able to speak truths or facts. And, my incarceration was just because I tried to provide people energy e
  2. Whatever the media tells me, is always right. Because they have my best interest in mind and definitely not the interests of the corporations that own them.
  3. The Power Elite, doesn't exist.
  4. Smart people are "gay".
  5. Tesla wasn't good for anything. If he was...I would've heard more about him in high school.
  6. Thomas Henry Moray's book couldn't possibly be backed by physical evidence because it was all destroyed by his partner.
  7. There couldn't possibly be intelligent life on other planets visiting us because...they're just...liiiike...totally far away! DUUUUUUUH!!! and we're sooo the only ones in the universe.

Tell me that's not true.

I would be interested but the time machine I'm in will punish me with loss of time if I do so. It is such a valuable commodity that I trust the real world more than "what could have been or might be."

I have wasted many years while chasing windmills and history has "proof"of both sides of the argument.

It is not a conspiracy but reality in all it's mascarades. Don't blame you for showing interest in the matter though. Do what you have to, Ky.

Thank you very much KY and I appreciate your advice. That's all I was doing, showing interest in the possibilities.

I understand the "real world" makes grown men cry, constrains and locks us up in loonie bins.

Historically, every new idea was met with criticism and doubt. If all those people gave up at the first battle of misbelief we'd still be in caves, banging our clubs.

A "Conspiracy Theory" is a term authoritative people adopted for name calling. It dismisses any alternative view as untrue and outlandish.

univrs

We (us) have a lot of work to do! Use your skills were they are needed most, so that they can support you the best. You will find committed Mates (that's what we call any "thing" or "one" that can give a helping hand in Australia) to assist or even follow you and your ideals or ideas.

If, after all "that", you find the time to work out matters that have been 'done before', go the extra mile. Read up a bit more. I mean, not just stroll (like I am still doing some times) but go through the nitty gritty (like I am still doing some times). Take a hint when it is just that!

Don't struggle but persist and all will become very challenging and controversial. If you are a Effing genius, wait, till some one finds out. Maybe 50 or a 100 years from now. Good you joined the club. No fees apply, Ky.

As JesterTerrestial said:

Two steps and you are a nut

If a nut, carry on with what you are doing; but do not ask for agreement from us - the unenlightened.

I do not ask you to quit your beliefs, but I do ask you not to ask ME to endorse them. You are too advanced for me.

So do not fight the crowd, just go prove us wrong.

I'm sure it was crackpot

Half the problem is the lack of understanding between spirtual truths and old science paradigms. The "new" (new again?) in every field of sciencs is being born. The only suggestion I have is to never stop learning. The school of Earth! Now accepting students lol.

There is some serious zero point energy research going on all over the globe and who know what they have on the other planets out there and I would be willing to bet 5bucks (its all i got) that there is many free energy working devices. Untill then I'll be out there...way out there. I posted my aerobine vawt here a while back and met a few of you and have since been working on several other science projects. Here is a sneak peek of our site.

http://www.isteam.ca (my new site for me and my crackpot team)

Respect to you all.
