Can you store gasoline in galvanized cans?

Take a look at this web site and scroll down to the section called "Eagle® Gas Cans Offered in Type I Safety Can". Then look for this paragraph:

"Eagle Gas Cans are made from 24-gauge, hot dipped galvanized steel. Meet OSHA and NFPA Code 30 requirements. All Safety Cans are lead free. Gasoline Storage Cans are FM, UL and ULC Approved."

It sure sounds like you'd be OK to use a galvanized steel can. You could also check the OSHA and NFPA regs, too.
