Parallel port of what?
A PC or a microcontroller port?
Access it with what? A PC, a microcontroller? We need more information if we are to help.
Here's a picture of a CD drive which I accessed with a bow pistol

You need more RAM for full access.

Hello garth:

Just a little point garth........................

When you do not know what the OP is accessing from, and/or accessing to...........how can you say they need more RAM? Doesn't make sense mate.

Sorry..............

Take care...................

Hello babybear,

It was a bit ambiguous , still I had a bite.

No doubt I will probably have a lot more rocks thrown at me before I depart this forum.

All is well thankyou. I think keywalker gave a good link and specrafi should say thanks.

Just off topic has anybody heard from sparkstation? he has been off my screen for a while, I hope he is keeping well.

You might find this link useful:

http://www.epanorama.net/circuits/parallel_output.html

or alternatively you might just try googling it yourself.

"parallel port software program"

Your request leaves so much open that what I might say, might be completely off base, but for a CNC machine, a sourceforge program called EMC2 which runs under Linux (unbuntu), via a parallel printer port on a PC.

If you need further details, just ask.
