Three phase electrical machines with no return

I just want to know why there is no return or neutral in most of the three phase machines?

To use the term "no return" reveals that you do not understand that the 'return' is the other two lines - they complete the circuit.

A neutral only 'returns' an unbalanced difference not handled by the other lines anyway.
