Toshiba VF S9 inverter

Toshiba VFD trips on earth fault immediatly on receiving a start command. What could be the reason for tripping.

Somene pls. suggest

It could be that you have an Earth fault.

Check your motor and associated leads. If possible substitute another motor and leads.

Check the motor is wiired correctly.

Check if it happens when no motor and leads are connected.

It might as simple as bad grounding practice. In case you are near a seashore(which I presume you are) this is very prevalent.I have seen similar problems on VFDs in paper plants near seashores.
