48 VDC Blower

03/16/2009 9:37 AM

I have a siroco blower, model TS 250 and it runs on 48 VDC.

We are not really wanting this exact blower. almost any blower with a 48 VDC motor, similar to this would be great. It blows into a 2" id short length of hose 2 feet long, that attaches to a electric motor for assisted cooling. So any squirrel cage blower similar to this one from Siroco would be great.

I seem to find many 12 VDC and 24 VDC but none in the 48 VDC range.

anyone with any ideas?

Joe

nss; you could get a DC to DC converter to step from 48 volts to 24/12/5 volts. perry

yes that is our last resort.

we already have a 48 to 3.8 VDc converter onboard for smilar applications, like radios,

lights, etc. but was hopeing not to go that way,

as close to the sirocco TS 250 as possible.

48 VDC is a hopefully must, the rest we can fudge a bit it will blow into a 2" ID hose.
