Merlin Gerlin 250 amp mccb

Hi guys replaced a 250 amp mccb at the weekend on a large printing press. The mccb holds in then trips out. Have two adjustments on front of mccb wondered what they actually do and if they could be the cause. Help!

Two thoughts :

1) If you need to ask questions like this, what business do you have replacing the MCCB? Surely this is a job for a qualified electrician, and one would expect a qualified electrician to know this sort of stuff.

2) How about reading the instructions that come with the MCCB?

The two adjustments allow you to adjust the thermal and magnetic trip points of the MCCB.

Please refer to the manual and documentation supplied with the MCCB or located on the manufacturer's website for the answer.
