Chilling Plant Efficiency - 15 TR and R22

03/23/2009 2:10 AM

We are having 15 TR chilling plant and refrigerant is R22 (Freon) and media is brine solution (Methanol). I want to know the calculation of efficiency of chilling plant which will be used for me to calculate any chilling plant used in Industry.

Insufficient data.

But find flow of liquid, input and out put temp and calculate the chillning quantity in Kwh, now devide with Kwh consumed in the electrical items of the chilling plant. You can get the efficiency . For other refrigerant you have to look at the present compressor's suitability with that.

as such for a ref plant , the measurement of efficiency in in terms of COP or coe. of performance of the total plant, u may cal. it by dividing the ref. efect by the comp. work. Regards guest
