Maximum velocity for liquid flow.

we all know that maximum velocity for a gas due to pressure delta in a pipe is sonic velocity. Can someone give an idea about maximum achievable velocity of liquid in a pipe.

3m/sec is the economic maximum, unless there is a risk of static electicity becoming a problem in which case 1m/sec is enough.
