Physics World has published the specs of a primitive plutonium fission bomb designed by the Nazi regime during the Second World War. It goes on to speculate that they actually built one and tested it on concentration camp inmates in 1945. Scary to think what could have happened if they started to mass produce these devices and strapped them onto V2 rockets. Might have changed the outcome of the war.
