hi Monu Purohit,

you'll have to wait for it to come into the market, as there is currently no device that offers such size of storage capacity.

meanwhile, you can grow your system by first using storage arrays of 50TB each, until your need will reach the 100TB capacity.

another approach is network storage, servers in clusters, or even availing of online services for off-house storage. they're feasible, and at the right price, reliable, as well. for online storage, however, approach those suppliers who are in the same city you're in. make sure you know them, and can trust them. such deals should be closed face-to-face with the provider.

HTH!

Oh yes there are!!!!

Several companies are already offering Petabyte (1024 Terrabytes = 1 Petabyte) storage systems, even Sun has a mini system that offers 44 Terrabytes, look here for example:-

You are way behind the times.....!

I believe SUN Microsystems is up to the task. The Sun Storage 7410 scales up to 576 TB. Exceptional quality if you can afford them.

Our radiotherapy planning computer is HP Linux, and a product that this company (Computerised Medical Systems) sell is called direct storage. This product has the sort of capacity that you are looking for. We use it to keep all of the data from several hospitals in the one place, and it can be expanded in the future

Look at this one:

It's good up to 500 TB and above..

Online, Nearline (StorageTek/Sun Tm) or offline?

Or better said, what sort of access time is needed/required?

Personally, after using some of ximeta's products, I think I would be using 100 1TB iocell drives. Just plug them into the network directly and configure a server to connect to them. Share on the network via the server using traditional methods. I'm not sure how many drives the driver on the server supports though.

My mechanical engineer solution. keep it scalable and modular. Paying silly amounts for some custom solution doesn't make much sense when the size of standard drives keeps going up the way it is.
