SAP is an enormous German Software Services firm that sells enterprise resource planning (ERP)software and implimentation that promises to keep the CEO informed allows automation of many routine business functions and speeds information flow through large firms.
The implementation process is also one of the best ways to bring a firm to it's knees.
It is also staggeringly expensive, nearly always late, and generally fails to fulfill it's promise.
Before SAP counsel contacts me - allow me to say the views I express, while informed by opinions of others in the field, are all my humble opinion. No effort to defame, disparage, or slander SAP, it's representatives, implimenters, or even the lowly salesman is intended. And SAP is no better or worse than their competition.
