Maintenance Management Software

04/15/2009 4:08 AM

Hello to All CR4 Family

I am new in this forum, although I have been following this family for sometime, and added to discussions as Guest. I am looking for either an "Open Source or low cost" Maintenance Management software for an MSc project, single user. Does anyone know where I can download this? Ideas will be highly appreciated.

Hi Maggie and welcome,

When I was doing my final year project (tyre pressure monitoring) I needed a pressure sensor that was suitable for the job in hand. I contacted the makers of BMWs tyre pressure sensors and explained the situation and they sent me 8 samples worth 40 GBP each.

I suggest you find software houses that produce the software you require and try a similar approach.

If you don't ask, you don't get.

Good luck with your masters.

Al

P.S. My company uses a system called Idhammer, I don't have any involvement with it so couldn't advise if its good or bad.

CWorks seems to be a good one. They have a free version though it doesn't give you all the features you might need. Have a look for yourself.

regards,

Vulcan

I've used MP2 and was pretty happy with it. I have no idea what the cost is, or if they have pared down version. It's easy to use and set up, though. Wish we still used it.
