boiler drum

can any body give me how to calculate the boiler drum level?,and its thickness of boiler drum would be useful?.

Look. The drum level is as a result of the water inside it, which needs to be above the level of the furnace tubes, see?

The thickness repsonds to a little bit of stress analysis calculation. You might want to do a theoretical slice along a diameter and do a stress balance. Well, that's what I would do, anyway.

Make sure the design is checked and approved by the insurance company's engineers before construction begins.

In India there is a book called Indian Boiler regulation act.

You can find solution in it.
