re: silver zinc oxide batteries

Is it possible to charge a Li-Ion laptop battery with a rechargeable silver zinc oxide battery? Would anyone be interested in sending me a design for a rechargeable silver zinc oxide battery capable of charging an average laptop's Li-Ion battery, so that I can have a manufacturer here in China produce it?

silver zinc rechargeable batteries are the best in terms of power density of all cells.

Where they fail. As they are recharged the zinc grows dendrites, which are spike like and these grow ever longer and sharper with each charge and discharge cycle and eventually short the battery. It might be 20-50 cycles and they reach their limit. Prior to lithium, they were the battery of choice for portable videocameras and helicopters in the military, due to the weight saved and the high power stored. These uses would monitor them and recycle them after a certain number of charge cycles or time in the air.

Have you heard of Zpower batteries? I'm curious about how these are made.

Looking for your advice on whether or not you think the following is true about dendrite growth: "This problem has been resolved by ZPower. The amalgamated polymer electrode i.e. the zinc anode in these batteries reduces the chances dendrite growth and disfigurement of the anode by thereby. Also, the separating layer serves as dendrite growth resistant." http://www.productusp.com/zinc-silver-rechargeable-batteries.html

LiPoly batteries are extremely sensitive to charging, over charging can cause them to catch fire or even explode. USE a proper charger whit overcharging ( and preferalby cell balancing connection ) protection ONLY.

How shall I train a laptop battery for optimal performance?
