AC / DC Adaptor - Class 2 Power Supply

04/29/2009 9:26 PM

I own a Battery Jump Start Unit. It takes a class 2 power supply to charge the internal battery on the unit.

The actual Specs are: Model HB-308B/ Input: AC 120V 60Hz/ Output: DC15V 600mA

I need to know where I can purchase a replacement class 2 power unit?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

Richard

Class 2, UL1310 certified, typically used in indoor (PLN) and outdoor (CLG) LED sign applications.

I have found them at Radio Shack, Wall-mart, Allied Electric Supply. If you are not afraid to change the small end, you can probably find one a local thrift stores. Just watch polarity, and AC/AD output. You can use a slightly lower output if the price is right, it will just take longer to recharge your battery. Good luck.

True, (fine for you or me) but most are not designed for outdoor usage, which I understand is needed here......If class 2 is what I think it is......

I personally would always charge indoors anyway......

Hey better on the bench than in the mud eh! I'd prefer something from Monster or Furman, eliminates weird EMF from cheep units and I like to think I can count on this type of stuff too.

This is an older post, but if you're still looking I have an answer for you. My Cummings Jump Start unit's power supply crapped out too and I've just found one for sale for $19.95 at www.emtcompany.com The key to locating it was to google the model number HB-308B. Hope this helps if you still own the unit.
