Converting Digital Data

Can someone help me converting digital dato from serial to paralel and viceversa?

if its posible using an integrated circuit.

Yes, it is possible. In fact it is quite a common practice. There are a number of integrated circuits, as well as devices that you can buy already connected with standard DB9 or DB25 serial connectors on one end and a variety of connectors for the parallel output on the other.

A couple of distributors that jump to mind are Black Box and/or B&B electronics. Use the internet for other vendors.

If you want to do this at the chip level, you will need to understand the communication rates, and protocol of the communication.

You should find out some 'basics' to this type of electronics. Especially as the previous poster has noted you'll need to know how you are going to use and implement 'them' into your system. Here's a company that makes good and reliable IC's. They're fairly straight forward to implement too. Manuals are very good too.
