Connecting Male NPT Swagelock Connectors to Threadolets

05/20/2009 12:41 AM

Can anybody help me on how to specify the size of threadolet. I want to connect a 1/2" NPT Swagelock Male connector to a threadolet. Do I also need a 1/2" threadolet?

1/2" NPT threadolet, Guv, 'cos NPT into BSP won't go. Send cash and I'll drop one in the post. <Cough>

Hi

Are you saying that threadolets are manufactured with BSP threads only. If yes what can I use for the Swagelock male connectors?

Hi

That is also my understanding. However I am not sure on how to specify threadolets. When we say 1/2" threadolet does it mean that its thread are 1/2" NPTor does it mean that the pipe size is 1/2? How do we specify threadolets?

You need to specify the thread NPT or BSP + Material of construction + information of Pipe on which you are going to instal / weld i.e Nominla dia with thickness + required materials certificates.

Things are not always simple????
