Seection of Suitable Bearing Cage for Spherical Roller Brgs

Would appriciate if you can help us by giving us the details of application for different types cages.
ie. steel, brass and polymide cages. ( which is best suitable for a particular application) why do different manufactures have differant Cages for same type of Brgs . Eg Spherical Roller Brgs . FAG will have Brass , SKF have Steel .
