Hi there,

The quality and quantity of information you have provided determine the answer you get!

1. Plug front end connector out from card.

2. Disconnect 50 wires from 50 terminals

3. Connect new 50 wires to 50 terminals

4. Plug in newly conencted front end connector

Why do you want to replace this front end connector? The only time is if one of the cores is damaged - this is nearly impossible to achieve.

The first thing I would measure is the resistance of each individual channel on the card. You will have to look at the card manual to get the specific resistance, but with the 6ES7-7KF02-xxxx it is about 20Ohm. If you measure open circuit or more resistance - channel is blown - replace the card.

Craig

Siemens sells direct replacements. You can also buy a spring or screw terminal system and get rid of the pre-wired terminals if you wish.

See http://www.automation.siemens.com/simatic_tc/html_76/vollmod.htm.
