Aviation Fuel Piping?

06/10/2009 12:12 AM

Dear Friends

I have question about avtur (aviation fuel) piping
Avtur properties are : Density 775-840 kg/m3
Flash Point : 33 oC
Total Sulfur : 0.3 % m/m

Considering above data.
How much the corrosion Allowance?
How about internal coating/lining, what material should i use?
Would you show me the coating/lining method?

Thanks

Best Regards
Fendy

Due to the potential liabilities involved, you should contact the supplier of the piping, not solicit anonymous advice.

Cotact the aviation fuel supplier for best practice advice. Selecting the piping material correctly will mean that no corrosion allowance is necessary. Corrosion in a fuel pipe, and eventual failure, may mean the destruction of the entire facility!
