CR4 Membership Growth - Update

Having humbly accepted (or wisely celebrated) that the world doesn't beat a path to our door, have you any numbers on general activity?

Nothing at present - with about 30,000 entries, it would take ages to sift through the membership list - unless it could be imported into e.g. Excel or Access.

Any ideas, anyone?

That's about hald the first page. It drops down to 300 pretty quick (by the 3rd page), remaining fairly steady as it drops over the other 280 odd pages of members. I'd approximate the data after the first couple of pages. (oh yeah, I sorted by "posts")

I sometimes look at the number of people reported to be on the site at any particular time. Right now as I write it is reported as 114.

Seems awhile back the highest number was reported, and I simply can't remember what that was.

I guess my point is that that number seems a good gauge of what we might call general activity.

I myself take every opportunity either in correspondence, or in conversation to recommend both Globalspec, and CR4.

Only one of my friends has come back to me and thanked me saying he would have found the site on his own, but found it 6 months sooner because I told him about it.

He only uses Globalspec typically to buy certain tools or whatnot.

Certainly that works for me, since, well, I like for my friends to make money.

In some of my political work with the local government I have recommended that Town Planners be aware of Globalspec, as a place to look for technologies to apply to the betterment of the local infrastructure.

Frankly since I am aware that Time is Money, and it appears that CR4 gets the money to run not on its own, but from Globalspec, I tend to steer those with real needs to Globalspec first.

Ideologically CR4 does seem more focused on the "life of the mind", than on making money, though now and then, that imperative does raise its head.

Any ideas on how to monetize CR4?

so it may be a while before we actually take over the world !

Again, this is just the total number who've registered, taking no account of activity or currency.

The "inactive" members are just waiting for orders to strike.

And when they list who's on line at the bottom of the section, guest usually out number members?
