2006 Toyota Sienna - Programming a New Key

06/26/2009 10:40 AM

I have lost one of my transponder keys to my 2006 Sienna van. Does anyone know if I can program a new key myself? The dealership wants 150 dollars to do this.

This is one of the little cash cows set up by car makers.

The key has a true cost of $2.00 or so. They split the gross profit with the dealer.

'some places on the net offer services to make keys a little cheaper. If you live in a large town, there may be a local?
