Technical Service - General Questions

07/07/2009 1:56 PM

Dear Colleagues,

I hope you are fine.

I need to inspect, review and maybe repair a cooled incubator (250 lts). Could anybody help me to prepare a kind of 'record card' with the most important topics?, for example:

- manufacturer:

- model:

- issue:

The purpose is collect all the possible information to send a technician with the suitable tools and accesories.

thanks for your help!.

I suggest that you "pretend" that you are buying this item "new" and figure out what you would check when it was delivered.

Electrical cabinet and connections: (All wires correctly terminated, no frayed leads, no corrosion on connection points, .....)

Hardware details: (Doors and hinges all operate corectly, casters free moving, machine level and stable, ......)

Refrigeration details: (Refrigerant pressure, type, last service time, ......)

....

And then perform a functional test to determine machine capability to recover from stable conditions to alternate condition. (Stabilise at 10 Degrees, then determine time taken to achieve 80 degrees and stabilise, then return to 10 degrees) In other words, verify that heating cooling and control functions all perform correctly.

THEN for each feature identified, determine what your technician would need to overcome any concerns. Might be as simple as lubricant for doors or as complicated as replacement controller for the electronics cabinet.

Good luck.

Hi Esteban,

I would suggest for you to obtain the complete information of the unit is for you to come personally for the first time take the "complete unit specifications/information on the unit plate as normally all unit have plate tag where it shows; Model, manufacturer, make, input, output, kW, Max. amp, Voltage, phase, refrigerant, etc, etc. you can also get some history information from the operator of the unit where you can add to your record card.

Now if you probably give us the Brand, model number, manufacturer or other related information of the unit, then we can help you to google and find out the complete information for you, which is you can also do.

Kind regards

Roman
