Minimum Distance from Ground

can anyone help? what is the minium distance from ground for 480Volts.

It would help if you tell us what code you live by and what's on the ground. Are you looking at NEC?

Are you takling about 480V with bare wire or insulated wire.

It needs to be out of harm's way.

11kV is routinely run as bare conductor on brackets fitted to the top of wooden poles in rural districts here. At a guess, 5-6m above ground is the order of magnitude of the clearance, unless roadways etc. are underneath, in which case it may go to 7 or 8m with a protective earthed wire cradle underneath it.

Please consult your local electrical standards and regulations for the answer relevant to your country and site. Alternatively get an electrician to perform the electrical work. If you are building a product, buy the relevant electrical standards.
