Mold-Making Compounds

07/19/2009 6:39 PM

Hi All,

We are looking for an inexpensive source of high-quality flexible mold-making compounds, such as low-viscosity RTV silicone rubber or equivalent low-viscosity elastomeric compounds.

These flexible molds will be used to produce small quantities of very-high-detail figurines; many of which do not have clear parting lines and therefore do not lend themselves to simple clamshell molds.

Any assistance in this matter will be greatly appreciated!

I've had good results from ordinary rubber latex. Multiple coats over the original figurine, then peel off your flexible mold.
