Analog Tuner

07/24/2009 8:23 AM

I have a Cybernet model CTS-100t anolog tuner hooked to an amp. Serial # 01001509.

I have tryed tuning w/ the plastic tool , w/ the rf choke and if choke and have been playing with the pot on top of the main tuning capacitor. Just can't seem to get the anolog dial tuned all the way across, in the stations (FM) from 88Mhz to 108 MHZ.

Could you give me some basic instructions on how to do this. Its a 70 model.

Thank You,

On top of the main capacitor there are trimmer capacitors, used to adjust the range of the local oscillator.

If you can get a station, verify with a good radio the position on the dial. If it is off, by trial and error, adjust the trimmers, and the main capacitor until you bring the dial in the right position.

If you messed with the IF circuits, send me the radio, and for a small fee (usually $150) I will tune it to the specs

The inductor is tweaked for a frequency at one end of the band and the trimmer capacitor for a frequency at the other end of the band so the result is equal sensitivity accross the band. How are you injecting a signal and how are you measuring the demodulated result?

Adjust the variable inductor for a known station near 88 MHz (position the dial appropriately). Adjust the trimmer capacitor for a known station (set dial). Repeat these steps until tuning appears to be correct.
