Coordination Studies

08/01/2009 9:46 AM

We have to perform coordination studies in a power system analysis of a building project in Qatar from upstream 11 KV switchgears to the downstream 415V MCCs and Distribution Boards and prepare a composite Single Line diagram.

As it is a lengthy process I would like to get the load calculations, Short circuit current calculations and cable sizing done by other engineers from the downstream loads up to 1415 V MCCs and Sub-main distribution boards using AMTECH software( as AMTECH can perform only for low voltage ). And I would like to utilize ETAP software to do the load calculations, short circuit currents and cable sizing done from upstream 11 KV to the 415V Main Distribution Boards and prepare the composite single line diagram.

Can any one clarify if two programs( ETAP and AMTECH ) can be used to prepare a single line diagram or is it necessary to use only one program? Is Data sharing / data synchronization possible between two programs?

Thanks. Syed

I have been doing such studies for various installations in India.

I have used following softwares like SIGRADE,SIMARIS,docwin,EasyPower,EDSA

If you are interested I can undertake such assignments
