Every state, city, town and rural area in the USA has a word for those people,in fact some of us have our own favorite words or sayings for them, but those words are not all fit to be used on this site.

I wish I had said that. A GA. BTW, since you use Latin, how about culus for the term?

There is a slang term used for people who spend too much time in front of TV's and/or video games. It is the shortened version of "video idiot" to just "vidiot". I have not heard of a similar term for excessive cell phone users.

For those constantly loud and disruptive cell phone users in public areas, I have often heard a common expletive (relating to bowel movement) used to describe the offender. I normally use "rude" , but "clueless" fits better. The Latin term "culus" is very close to the expletive I often hear.

"Dictaphone" has changed its meaning. It now refers to some idiot that is always on his mobile.

I suppose a cell phone user that was considered to be an extremist user of cell phone technology could be considered a bit of a zealot. So, I propose a new term for this type of person. How about the term "cellot"?
