I thought I already made a reply to this question. I must have clicked on the wrong button.

Anyways, you can have a simple design or a sophisticated design.

The simple design is to have a bank of solar cell panels connected to an inverter. The inverter converts the dc voltage from the solar cells to ac voltage. You'll have electricity as long as the sun is shining.

A little more sophistication would be to connect another bank of solar cells to a battery which you can then switch the inverter to so that you can have power during the night.

Another sophistication would be to mount your solar cells to a "sun tracker" so that the panels would keep pointing toward the sun at all times (until the sun sets, of course).
