Windows XP Edition

Dear, All

how to find out if the computer bit is 32bit,64bit,84bit

Please advise.

It won't be 84-bit, as 84 is not a power of 2, whereas 32 and 64 are.

Control Panel -> System

If it doesn't say 64bit anywhere, your using 32bit. If you're using XP, most likely its 32bit. 64bit is available but not too many computer come with it. More likely to get Vista 64bit then XP 64bit.

If your computer is more them 3 years old, good chance its 32bit.

from start menu right click 'computer' then select properties
