Tell us exactly what do you a cable loss.. Are referring to voltage of the cable at 210m length.

okey here is my little knowlege

First get amp load = I

DC CIRCUIT

NEC Formula, Voltage drop, Vd= (2 x L x K x I)/1000 for 2-leg single phase

Vd = (1.732 x K x I)/1000 for 3-leg three phase

Where:

L= length of cable(ft or meter)

K= Max dc resistance of cable @20 deg cent. ohm/1000ft

Some Cable Manufacturers are standardized the resistivity of cable in omh/km

Cable Manufacture's data.(basis:Gulf/Oman/Riyadh cables) 3*185mm sq XLPE/CU/PVC/SW. = 0.0991ohm/km or useful reference NEC Chapter 9 Table 8.

AC CIRCUIT

VD= V +IRCos (angle?) + IX Sin (angle?)- square root of (square of V- square of(IXCos angle?-IRsin angle?)

L= length of cable(ft or meter)

R= Max ac resistance of cable ohms/1000ft

X- Max. ac reactance of cable ohms/1000ft

There is no formula for cable loss. If your cable loss, please report to the authorities.

Simon is definitely right!

The question of cable loss sounds like a stupid question.

My 20-year career in electrical digging dozen of text books... ( i never found formula of cable loss... may be the question means... voltage drop or power loss.

One of the algebraic formula i know for cable loss x/y=theft
