Please do not get provoked after reading comments. CR4 forum has its own standards. Since the type of question you have asked is entirely different one from this forum you could not get correct answer. The simple mechanism is inserting a sensor below the ground at the entry and exit of the barrier and connects it through control cable to actuate a mechanism to lift and close the gate. Many commercial models (FAG) from Italy and other countries are available. Check their web sites and get the details. All the Best.

Just use a frigen motion detector for $30.00 and be done with it.
