HT motor

Hom much distance shouled be mainted between two terminal of 6.6KV HT motor for each phase?

1.Phase to phase clearance or distance apart is 120mm for 11kv,it is alright to follow this dimension for 6.6kv.

2.Phase to ground is 110mm.( Phase-ground voltage is 3.81kv for 3-phase 4-wire,neutral solidly grounded system)

I assume the termination is bare and in air in a cable box.If you have HV heat shrinkable termination covers for each phase,then you can have lesser clearances depending on the workmanship of the termination and the rating of the HV insulation material used.

That recommended by the motor's original manufacturer, if it has an outstanding warranty period.

That recommended by the motor's orignal manufacturer during the warranty period and beyond, if popularity with one's fire and injury indemnity insurance company is to be sustained.

Normally HT motors come with Phase Segregated terminal box and hence this is not applicable to that.
