Hi guys,

my company is looking for mechanical engineering students for a 6 months unpaid internship.

We'll provide with free lodging.

Typical working activities may include:

§ designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety, reliability and throughput;

§ discussing and solving complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers;

§ managing projects using engineering principles and techniques;

§ planning and designing new production processes;

§ using research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly mathematical modelling and computer-aided design;

§ considering the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints;

§ working with other professionals, within and outside the engineering specialism;

monitoring and commissioning plant and systems

feel free to contact me at rosy@meccanotecnicariesi.com

How does this really read?

My company is looking for free labor?

What Universities have you offered this "Internship" situation to?

What Universities or Colleges approve of your offers?

I myself have actually directed "Interns", and some of them are doing very well.

Hence I have some understanding of how and whom and what the arrangement is supposed to be.

In one case they sent interns to work for three hours a day, for free, to learn from me how to do the job.

Some of the interns I had under my supervision worked all day, but got stipends, or lower pay.

I've seen interns abused, and really will not put up with it.

So far, from what I have read of your posting, and solicitation, I am extremely tempted to report you as another unethical troll, with no right at all to breath good air, others could be breathing.

Hi Trascendian,

I am very sorry to read your thoughts about my post.

actually what I am really looking for are good engineers and to do that I need they have good references by Universities.

we ever helped our interns (from several countries) refunding some of the expenses they effort living in a different country and let them to increase their experience in our field practicing what they learned just theoretically.

some of our old interns are working for us, (during the free internship we are usual to provide free lodging and meals), with very good wages, some other are our agents for different countries.

I hope this clarify the intent of my post was to extend this kind of experience to many people from all over the world.

I missed a working experience abroad and I think this is a unique experience increasing personal and professional skills.

please to let me know if this clarify your concerns or you need some other clarifications.

Rosy

The rise of the use of "interns", is a sore point with me, and I admit I am very touchy about it.

Recently while looking though want ads I came across jobs that were advertised. Reading the job description, and having the qualifications for the "job", I became angry because the job will go to an intern.

It is hard enough for me at my age to compete with youth, period, but then for me to be in the position of competing for work buttressed by the expanding use of "interns" sure does feel unfair.

Local to me I know that no matter what face this particular company puts on their internship program, it is simply for them a way of getting "free labor".

I am nearly come to feel these jobs ought not be even advertised in any other venue than within the academic institutions if for no other reason other than keeping me from getting all steamed up about it.
