10/01/2009 5:27 AM

Hi!

I must connect a sensor ( Turck: BIM-EG08-Y1X-H1341 or BIM-EG08-Y1X )

I finded a card at Yokogawa manufacturer. The EJA and EJX series. But my boss want a LabView card. Is there an equivalent at this manufacturer?

Try here:

http://www.ni.com/

Pretty much all their cards are LabView-compatible.

Some data acquisition boards manufacturers will make hardware compatible with some National Instruments data acq. cards. Check for the right buss. Old NI cards were for EISA, PCI. Now they use PCI Express,PXI etc. A NI card is driven, usually, from LabView. You can get different flavor of LabView from $700 to $5000.

I prefer LabView, is the most complete on the market. If you think future, do what your boss told you, buy NI.

There are some cheap NI-USB data acq. devices for less then $200. Software at $700 and you can do your job.

Hi indel,

GA - I didn't have enough time to reply as I had to go to a meeting. You gave some very good detailed information.

Mike
