MS Office Application

10/05/2009 9:21 AM

Dear All,

I asked this question before but i did'nt get the desired answer. Here it goes;

I saw an excel and word file embeded in an excel worksheet. In the cell where the file was inserted, the cell displayed the file icon with the link c:\Document\file name. Also on the formula bar the formula; =EMBED(''worksheet'','''') appeared.

How can I do this please?
Kindly Assist.

Hi EnB,

I see what you mean now. You want to go to "Insert" menu, then click on "Insert Object". Click the "Create from File" tab, check the "Display as Icon" box, click "browse" to find your file, and then click OK.

That should do it.

An answer that solves the problem deserves a vote for good answer. I'm proud to be the one who pushed the button.
