cooling water treatment by magnets

can any one suggest how effective magnetic water treatment for cooling water for cooling towers?and how does it work?

although i am still unaware of how something like this might work, water is affected by magnetic fields. A water molecule is polar, and exhivbits diamagnetic properties (repelled by either pole of a magnet).

You might consider a Dolphin system for non-chemical treatment. It uses electric field pulses rather than magnetics, but I have used them in the past and found them to be fairly effective when they are properly installed and operated.
